HEAD-TO-HEAD: Neuberger Berman vs Allianz
This week’s Head-to-Head examines two China equity vehicles: Neuberger Berman China Equity and Allianz Greater China Dynamic.
“We do not currently invest directly in any single country funds in emerging markets,” said Husselbee. “This is not a ‘never’ statement and we have in the past invested in these funds. However, Chinese equities remain a low percentage of the global equity basket, so we prefer regional funds.
“That said, from my initial review I would want to look further at Neuberger Berman which looks to be offering an active style, whereas Allianz Greater China Dynamic is a small fund and I would prefer a longer fund manager tenure to review.”
