HEAD-TO-HEAD: Neuberger Berman vs Allianz

Since going on the market in July 2009, the Neuberger Berman fund has generally outperformed its peers, returning 59.88% against a sector average of 26.84%.

While the Allianz option has also done better than its peers, a 34.46% return in the same time-frame means it has slightly underperformed its benchmark index.

Husselbee said: “The five-year returns have favoured the Neuberger Berman fund, which has outperformed its benchmark, MSCI China Index.

“Allianz Greater China Dynamic, which has a wider mandate to include Hong Kong and Taiwan, has underperformed its MSCI Golden Dragon benchmark.”
