Fidelity appoints head of Hong Kong

The hires include Andrew Chin as head of north Asia.

Akihiro Hayashi has joined as country head for Japan and Tokio Morita as senior adviser.

Monica Liu joined UBS Global Wealth Management in February last year.

Selwyn Au-Yeung was previously managing director and team head at Bank J Safra Sarasin.

Shao Ping Guan is also due to become sole lead portfolio manager for AllianzGI’s China A strategies.

Andrew Chin was most recently with HSBC Global Private Banking.

Brenda Lee was most recently executive director at Julius Baer.

The new unit will be helmed by Daniel Peter, formerly with Credit Suisse in Thailand.

Benjarong Techamuanvivit will take on the newly created appointment subject to approval from Singapore’s central bank.
