Fidelity appoints head of Hong Kong

Maria Abbonizio has been with Fidelity since 2004.

Fidelity International has appointed Maria Abbonizio as head of Hong Kong, effective 1 July.

Abbonizio will take on the role alongside her current position of global chief administrative officer for investment management. She joined Fidelity in 2004 and spent the majority of her 18 years with the firm based in Hong Kong.

For her responsibilities as head of Hong Kong, she will report to Rajeev Mittal, managing director for Asia Pacific ex-Japan.

Abbonizio is a replacement for KP Luk, who is retiring having served as head of Hong Kong for the past three years.
