Hong Kong-listed alternatives specialist Sun Hung Kai & Co has appointed Gary Chan as managing director for investment management.
He will lead the private equity team, where he will seek to maximise risk-adjusted returns and diversify exposure by industry and geography, Sun Hung Kai & Co said.
Prior to joining Sun Hung Kai & Co, Chan led the investments and banking team at Mirae Asset (Hong Kong,) investing across a number of sectors including healthcare, technology, new energy, new consumer and real estate.
He previously held senior roles at Barclays, Macquarie and ICBC International.
Sun Hung Kai & Co established the investment management division in 2015, which marked its evolution of becoming a leader in alternative investing.
