Julius Baer has beefed up its South Asia team out of Singapore, with the addition of two relationship managers.
The appointment of the bankers – Karan Choksey and Rahul Dutta Chowdhury – is immediate and they will be reporting to Akshay Jaitly, team head, global India, Singapore, the Swiss bank said in response to queries from FSA.
Choksey has moved to Singapore from Hong Kong, where he worked as a banker with BNP Paribas for more than a decade.
Chowdhury also joins Julius Baer from BNP Paribas. Prior to this, he worked at Standard Chartered and Credit Suisse.
The addition of Choksey and Chowdhury comes hot on the heels of the appointment of Jaitly as well as Komal Syal, team head, global India and Japan, Singapore, both of whom joined the Swiss lender in late March.
