UBS names new Hong Kong asset management chief

Hayden Briscoe, the firm’s current head of global emerging markets (GEM) and Apac for fixed income, will take on an additional role.

UBS has announced that Briscoe took on the additional role as asset management (AM) head for Hong Kong effective Monday.

He reports to Raymond Yin, head of Apac at UBS AM.

“Our location heads play an important role in providing oversight and representing UBS AM both internally and externally, and we are very pleased that Hayden will bring his extensive experience from across the Apac region to his new role,” said the firm in a statement.

Briscoe moved to Hong Kong in 2013 and joined UBS AM in 2016.

He is taking over responsibility from Adolfo Oliete, also the current head of hedge fund solution (HFS) in Apac.

After being based in Hong Kong for the last seven years, Oliete is returning to London to continue his role as the Apac HFS head and as a member of the senior leadership team for the HFS global business.

The Swiss firm has made several appointments recently, including the hiring of Theresa Wong as hedge fund specialist for Greater China last month.
