In this newly created role, Shirose will lead and develop PineBridge’s institutional business in Japan to enhance and grow client relationships.
Based in Tokyo, Shirose will take charge of the role from 1 October and report to Kazuya Sugiura, president and chief executive of PineBridge Investments Japan, and also to Rajeev Mittal, CEO of PineBridge Investments Asia.
With more than 25 years of industry experience, he previously worked with Fortress Investment Group as managing director and head of capital formation and investor relations since 2010.
In addition, he worked as head of institutional business at Nikko Asset Management and also as executive officer and head of institutions marketing at UBS Global Asset Management.
PineBridge has approximately $73.8bn in assets under management worldwide as of 30 June.
