Nuveen, the investment management arm of TIAA, has appointed Radhika Shroff as managing director for impact investing. She will be responsible for identifying, executing and managing direct private equity investments. Shroff was previously at Accion Global Investments, where she was deputy chief investment officer and managed a portfolio of global equity investments. Principal Financial Group has named Dave Ashton CEO of Principal Trust Company for Asia. Based in Hong Kong, he will be leading Principal’s MPF business in the SAR. The firm has also appointed Derek Ching as CEO for investment and retirement services, which is the sales, distribution and product development business of Principal. Ashton was previously Principal International’s US-based vice president and chief information officer, while Ching was managing director at Principal Asset Management for Asia…

Robeco SAM has launched the Circular Economy Strategy, which invests in listed companies that “address the opportunities created by the paradigm shift in traditional production and consumption patterns toward a circular economy”, according to a statement from the firm. Amundi‘s ETF assets have reached €55bn ($60.35) in assets, mostly driven from Europe, according to a statement from the firm. Net new assets in 2019 amounted to €8bn, which is more than double compared to 2018…

Neuberger Berman has acquired New York-based real estate investment firm Almanac Realty Investors. Almanac will cooperate as a distinct investment platform at NB and will continue to be led by managing partner Matthew Kaplan.
