HEAD-TO-HEAD: Franklin Sealand versus Invesco Great Wall

Both funds are managed by experienced portfolio managers, according to Li.

The FTS fund is managed by Xu Lirong for six years. Xu, who has 11 years of investment experience, is also the firm’s director for investment and research, Li added.

Meanwhile, Yu Guang, who has at least nine years of investment experience, has been managing the IGW fund since December 2011.

In terms of analyst support, the FTS manager is backed by 11 analysts, while the IGW manager is supported by a 14-people equity research team, according to Li.

Li noted that while the IGW fund’s team has been running smoothly for years, there have been some changes in the FTS fund’s team.

He explained that the FTS fund’s team has been adding staff for its technology, media and telecommunications research. Because of that, he is keeping an eye on the team’s development, as it is streamlining its research process.
