HEAD-TO-HEAD: Pimco vs Robeco
FSA compares the Pimco GIS Global High Yield Bond Fund and the Robeco High Yield Bond Fund.
The Pimco fund (E Acc USD share class) has ongoing charges of 1.45%, while the Robeco fund (DH USD share class) charges 1.18%.
The median level of fees in Morningstar’s global high yield category is 1.48%.
Although both funds are below category median, Faassen noted that given Pimco’s fund size, the firm should cut the fees further to share its economies of scale with investors.
