The JP Morgan fund’s ongoing charges were 1.56% as of 31 March 2017, while the Robeco fund’s OCF is 1.96% according to fund fact sheets.
Ng noted that Robeco’s OCF is in line with the market’s average for the sector, while JP Morgan offers good value, with the OCF well below the average.
JP Morgan is more active with retail investors, which most likely explains the difference between the funds’ sizes and the fees, Ng said.
