HEAD-TO-HEAD: Janus Henderson vs Robeco
FSA compares the Henderson Horizon Global Property Equities Fund and the Robeco Property Equities Fund.
Ng does not hesitate in recommending the Henderson fund over the Robeco. While both, in principle, have a very similar investment approach, the Henderson fund has consistently delivered better returns, at a lower cost, although with slightly higher volatility.
Ng also pointed out the difference in the size of the management teams. “The Henderson fund has a stronger, better resourced team in the property equities area,” he said.
However, an investor for whom ESG integration is a priority would be better advised to choose the Robeco fund, Ng added.
