Former SCB banker joins Nomura

The Hong Kong-based banker moves to Nomura IWM after a short break.

Connie Sin has joined Nomura IWM as head of managed investments, according to a post on her LinkedIn account.

A specialist in private and retail banking wealth management, with particular expertise in managed solutions and investment advisory, Sin (pictured) was previously head of managed investments, wealth management for Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong from September 2022 to June 2023.

Prior to the spell at SCB, Sin spent six-and-a-half months at BNP Paribas Wealth Management where she was a senior investment adviser and executive director.

Between August 2010 and February 2016, she was chief investment director at Noble Apex Advisors. Sin began her career in the financial industry as an equity sales trader at CLSA
