Credit Suisse has hired Neeraj Arora in the bank’s wealth management business as director and relationship manager for the non-resident India (NRI) market, according to an internal memo seen by FSA.

“We are strongly committed to India and the NRI market, and we continue to attract and recruit talented bankers to help drive the bank’s growth initiatives and deliver best-in-class solutions and advice to our clients,” said Puneet Matta, market group head of India and the NRI.

He is based in Singapore and reports to Bikram Sen, managing director and team leader for the NRI market.

Before joining Credit Suisse, Arora was director of private banking for more than two years at Julius Baer, serving existing and new high-net-worth customers based in Hong Kong and southeast Asia.

He also spent 11 years with Citibank in India and Singapore previously.

Credit Suisse has announced a series of appointments and promotions recently, including Jullie Kan as vice chairman and strategic client lead for Apac, and Andy Kuo as Greater China WM director.
