Amundi has hired Jian Xiong (pictured) to strengthen its investment offerings and bespoke solutions for insurance clients in Asia.
Based in the firm’s Singapore office, Xiong will report to Eddy Wong, chief executive officer, Asia and Lawrence Wee, head of institutional sales, South Asia.
Xiong was previously a senior director in Aberdeen Group’s Apac insurance solutions team. He is also a member of the Expert Committee at the Insurance Asset Management Association of China (IAMAC).
Prior to that he was head of investment at China Life Insurance Singapore, and head of fund solutions at Prudential Assurance. He holds an MBA from National University of Singapore and is a CFA and FRM charter holder.
