UBP expands Greater China team with 3 hires from BOS and Citi

Union Bancaire Privée has hired a new team head and two relationship managers as it expands it Greater China business.

Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) has announced three new hires as the Swiss private bank seeks to expand its business in the Greater China region.

Aaron Lee has been recruited to the bank as team head, reporting to Teresa Lee, chief executive of Hong Kong and regional head of North Asia.

Prior to joining UBP, Lee was at Bank of Singapore (BOS) serving clients in the ultra-high net worth (UHNW) segment. Prior to that he was at HSBC Private Bank.

UBP has also hired another former Bank of Singapore employee Charles Tam, as senior relationship manager reporting to Aaron Lee. Tam started his career at Citibank.

Sue Peng has also been recruited by UBP as a relationship manager. Prior to joining the firm she was a director at Citi Private Bank, managing UHNW families.

Prior to that she was director of investment banking at UBS, focusing on IPOs, debt financing and M&A deals for Chinese firms.
