Thornburg hires duo from Matthews Asia and Invesco

Jonathan Schuman and Richard Kuhn both took up the reins on 1 April, having worked at Matthews Asia and Invesco respectively.

Thornburg Investment Management has appointed Jonathan Schuman as head of international and Richard Kuhn as head of product, effective 1 April.

Schuman reports to Mark Zinkula, CEO of Thornburg.

Schuman was global head of distribution at Matthews Asia, where he oversaw sales, marketing, client service, product and business development strategy including building out the international business.

He also previously served as head of institutional at PineBridge Investments and head of business development at AIG in Japan.

Meanwhile, Kuhn reports to Jesse Brownell, global head of distribution.

Kuhn joins from Invesco, where he served as head of US product strategy and development and spent eight years developing strategic plans for both retail and institutional product lines.
