SCB Julius Baer appoints new CEO

Peerapong Jirasevijinda is a replacement for Lalitphat Toranavikrai, who will remain a member of the board of SCB Julius Baer.

SCB Julius Baer Securities Co, the wealth management joint venture between Siam Commercial Bank and Julius Baer, has appointed Peerapong Jirasevijinda as its new CEO.

Current CEO Lalitphat Toranavikrai will remain a member of the board of directors of SCB Julius Baer, the firm said in a statement.

Jirasevijinda (pictured) was most recently CEO of BBL Asset Management, a position he has held since 2017, and he previously worked at Phatra Thanakit Finance and Securities and MFC Asset Management.

Peerapong is a seasoned executive in the financial investment sector, with over 27 years of experience in capital markets, having deep expertise in the national mutual fund industry covering all aspects of wealth management,” said Kris Chantanotoke, chief executive officer of Siam Commercial Bank.

“We are confident that under Peerapong’s leadership, he will be able to drive growth and achieve the goals set for the wealth management business of SCB Julius Baer, cementing our position as the wealth management leader in Thailand
