Pinebridge names head of Insu asset management

PineBridge Investments has appointed Stephan van Vliet as head of insurance asset management.
In this newly created position, Vliet will have a global role, responsible for providing tailored investment solutions to insurance clients.
 
Based in Hong Kong, he will report to both David Jiang, PineBridge’s global chief executive and Rajeev Mittal, CEO of Asia operations. 
 
Vliet, with 18 years of international experience, joins Pinebridge from ING Insurance Asia-Pacific, where he served as head of investments, responsible for the asset allocation of 10 Asian insurance companies. Prior to that, he was head of insurance asset management at ING Investment Management in Europe.
 
PineBridge manages over US$69.1bn in assets worldwide as of September 30.
