PineBridge appoints head of intermediary distribution for Apac and Emea

Nicolas Kopitsis joined PineBridge in 2021 as head of wealth management for Asia from BNY Mellon.

PineBridge Investments has appointed Nicolas Kopitsis as head of intermediary distribution for Asia Pacific and Europe, the Middle East and Africa, effective 1 January.

Based in Singapore, Kopitsis (main picture) will oversee PineBridge’s intermediary business strategy and distribution of the firm’s investment products to private banks and family offices among others.

Kopitsis joined PineBridge in 2021 as head of wealth management for Asia. Previously, he worked as head of intermediary distribution for Asia ex-Japan at BNY Mellon.

“Over the past five years we have witnessed a 50% increase of our AUM, reaching over $150bn in assets under management last year — a milestone demonstrating our increasing scale and depth,” said Sergio Ramirez, chief revenue office and head of the global client group.

“As we set our sights on the next phase of growth, we acknowledge the important role of the intermediary channel, especially private banks, in driving our continued expansion.”

“I am confident that, under Nicolas’ leadership, we will further extend the reach of our high-quality solutions and provide exceptional value to both new and existing clients in this crucial segment across both the Apac and Emea regions.”
