T Rowe Price appoints head of southeast Asia intermediary distribution

T Rowe Price has appointed Nicholas Tong as head of southeast Asia intermediary distribution, effective today.

Based in Singapore, he reports to Glen Lee, head of intermediary distribution for Asia ex-Japan.

“With extensive industry experience and a successful track record, Nicholas brings a wealth of expertise to his new role,” said Lee,

“His deep understanding of the southeast Asia market and recognised client-centric approach make him the ideal candidate to drive T Rowe Price’s growth and foster strong client relationships in the region.”

“In line with our growth strategy and expansion into the retail segment, we aim to create and deepen partnerships with southeast Asian intermediary clients.”

“Through understanding their needs, we will deliver timely, actionable insights and solutions to help them navigate change and achieve better outcomes.”

Tong has a decade of experience working with financial intermediaries in southeast Asia including most recently with Wellington Management, where he was a vice president responsible for developing business with strategic and retail banking clients in Singapore.

He has also worked at UBS Asset Management, Pimco and M&G Investments.
