The $150m Old Mutual Europe (ex UK) Smaller Companies Fund and the $292m Old Mutual North American Equity Fund have now been authorised for distribution to the public in Hong Kong. Both of the funds are sub-funds of the Dublin-domiciled Old Mutual Global Investors Series umbrella.
The Old Mutual Europe (ex UK) Smaller Companies Fund is managed by Ian Ormiston who has 20 years’ experience in managing European smaller companies investment strategies.
Launched on 10 November 2014, the fund aims to achieve long term capital growth through investing primarily in an equity portfolio of smaller companies incorporated in Europe (excluding the United Kingdom) or of companies incorporated outside of Europe (excluding the United Kingdom) which have a predominant proportion of their assets and/or business operations in Europe (excluding the United Kingdom).
The Old Mutual North American Equity Fund is managed by Ian Heslop, Amadeo Alentorn and Mike Servent. Launched on 17 April 2002, the fund seeks to achieve long term capital growth through the active management of a diversified portfolio invested primarily in North American stock markets. It is not proposed to concentrate investments in any one industry or sector.
