HSBC AM appoints southeast Asia CEO

Pang Qi Lim is a replacement for Patrice Conxicoeur, who is leaving the asset manager.

HSBC Asset Management has appointed Pang Qi Lim as CEO of southeast Asia and Singapore, pending regulatory approval.

Lim (pictured) has also been named head of strategic partnerships for southeast Asia.

He will report to Daisy Ho, chief executive officer for Asia Pacific and Hong Kong, and to Ashmita Acharya, head of wealth and personal banking in Singapore.

Lim joins from Fidelity International, where he most recently led the business development for client solutions and services business in Asia Pacific.

He has also worked at Standard Chartered and Fortis Private Bank.

Lim is a replacement for Patrice Conxicoeur, who is leaving the asset manager.

“As we continue to invest in our manufacturing capabilities to offer client-centric investment solutions and best-in-class high conviction capabilities in Singapore, I am confident that Pang Qi’s solid experience will allow us to further grow our franchise in Singapore and southeast Asia,” said Ho.
