PineBridge appoints head of institutional sales for southeast Asia

Glenn Tan was most recently with Nikko Asset Management.
A new way of greeting to avoid the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). Two people (a man and a woman) bump elbows instead of hug or handshake.

PineBridge Investments has appointed Glenn Tan as senior vice president and head of institutional sales for southeast Asia.

Based in Singapore, Tan will be responsible for managing and developing PineBridge’s institutional business in Singapore and the broader southeast Asia region.

“Southeast Asia continues to be a critically important market for PineBridge and Glenn’s well-rounded experience across business development, investment research, and industry regulation positions us well in this fast-growing region,” said Clint Grobler, head of Australia and Asia institutional client group, ex-Japan and Taiwan.

Tan joins PineBridge from Nikko Asset Management, where he was institutional business development director responsible for growing the firm’s assets in southeast Asia across a diversified range of institutional clients including central banks, sovereign wealth funds, statutory boards and endowments/pension funds.

Prior to this, Tan was a regional relationship manager at Brandywine Global Investment Management, responsible for business development and client servicing efforts in Asia Pacific ex-Japan.
