The Jupiter fund has ongoing charges (OCF) of 0.95%, while the Syz fund’s OCF is 2%, according to McDermott.
McDermott believes that the Syz fund is expensive. “This is possibly not helped by the fact that the fund has less than €100m in assets, so there are no economies of scale to enjoy.”
