Alex Savvides has more than two decades of investment experience, and joined JOHCM in March 2003, originally as an assistant fund manager, according to McDermott. He subsequently developed and launched the JOHCM UK Dynamic fund in June 2008.
Prior to joining JOHCM, Savvides worked as a research associate at Astaire & Partners and held sales roles at Teather & Greenwood and Numis Securities.
Savvides is supported by Tom Matthews, who has around 14 years’ experience and has worked in small- and mid-cap equity sales for Espirito Santo Investment Bank before being hired by Savvides in November 2013.
The individual teams at JOHCM tend to operate fairly independently of one another, but Savvides also discusses stock ideas with other UK equity portfolio managers at the firm.
Chris Kinder has run the Threadneedle UK Extended Alpha fund since it was re-launched with its current name and strategy in November 2010, according to McDermott.
He joined Threadneedle in the same year and has 15 years of investment management experience.
Prior positions include assistant fund manager at RWC Partners and chartered accountant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
