Columbia Threadneedle appoints head of wholesale for Asia

Mark Chan will be taking over from Dennis Quah who will be leaving the firm after seven years in end June.

Columbia Threadneedle Investments has appointed Mark Chan as its head of wholesale for Asia.

Chan, who has been serving as the CEO of the firm’s Hong Kong office, will be taking over from Dennis Quah, who will be leaving the firm after seven years, Columbia Threadneedle announced on Thursday.

Chan has also been serving as the firm’s head of institutional business for the Greater China region.

Columbia Threadneedle was managing $608bn worth of assets across equities, fixed income, multi-asset solutions and alternatives as of 31 March.

As part of his new appointment, Chan will oversee the wholesale teams based in Hong Kong and Singapore.
