HEAD-TO-HEAD: Investec versus JP Morgan

FSA compares two global mixed asset products: the Investec Global Multi Asset Income Fund and the JP Morgan Multi Income Fund.

The Investec fund is co-managed by John Stopford and Jason Borbora-Sheen, according to Ng. Stopford, who is also the firm’s co-head of multi-asset, has been managing the fund since 2011.

Borbora was named co-manager in February this year. He has been an assistant portfolio manager within the firm’s multi-income team since 2012, according to Ng.

Turning to the JP Morgan fund, the product is co-managed by four portfolio managers who are within the multi-asset team: Michael Schnoenhaut (managing the fund since 2011), Leon Goldfeld (2016), Eric Bernbaum (2017) and Matthew Pallai (February 2019), according to Ng.

Goldfeld is based in Hong Kong, while the other three managers are based in New York, Ng added.

While Ng was not able to elaborate on the analyst support of both teams, he believes that both are well resourced and have very experienced managers.
