Lyndon Man has managed the Invesco fund since September 2013. Before, joining Invesco in 2011, he spent about six years with the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, where he managed multi-asset and fixed-income portfolios.

Man is the key risk-taker for this fund, and he is supported by Luke Greenwood, but who hass been less involved in day-to-day management here for the past several years, focusing instead primarily on passive strategies, according to a Morningstar report.

The Pimco fund is also run by a highly skilled veteran manager who has been in charge of the fund since its inception in 2003, according to Poole

Mark Kiesel, has spent two decades at Pimco, and became the head of the firm’s global corporate bond portfolio managers in 2008, then was named global credit CIO in late 2014.

Kiesel is supported by comanagers and Jelle Brons and Mohit Mittal, who are also senior members of a team of more than 20 investment-grade corporate-focused portfolio managers. Brons is a sustainable credit expert and Mittal oversees the US investment-grade, high-yield, and emerging-markets corporate trading desks.

The managers are supported by more than 50 corporate credit analysts, in addition to a global fixed-income and macro specialists.

“Kiesel is highly focussed on his management of the strategy,” said Poole.

“Both he and Man at Invesco have been running their funds for many years, which is a good sign,” he said.
