HEAD-TO-HEAD: Franklin Templeton versus Merian
FSA compares two US equity products: the Franklin Templeton US Opportunities Fund and the Merian North American Equity Fund.
Fees
The retail share class of the Franklin Templeton fund has ongoing charges (OCF) of 1.81%, while the Merian fund’s OCF is 1.57%, according to data from FE Fundinfo.
The Franklin Templeton fund is in-line with its peers, while the Merian fund is competitively priced. The peer median of North America funds sold in Hong Kong is 1.8%, according to FE Fundinfo.
