The First State fund has been managed since launch by Peter Meany, a pioneer in infrastructure investment, who was previously an analyst at Macquarie and Credit Suisse, according to McDermott.

“Meany and Greenup are supported by a team consisting of nine infrastructure specialists – all of whom are based in Sydney – with an average of 15 years’ experience,” said McDermott.
The Morgan Stanley fund is managed by a veteran of the bank, Ted Bigman, who joined Morgan Stanley in 1995. Prior to joining the firm, he was a director at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he worked for eight years in the real estate investment banking group.
