HEAD-TO-HEAD: China Merchants versus Penghua
FSA compares two China onshore fixed income products: the CMF Industrial Bond A Fund and the Penghua Industrial Bond Fund.
Conclusion
Morningstar awards the CMF Industrial Bond Fund four stars, but rates the Penghua Industrial Bond Fund higher with five stars.
“I like both funds because they have competitive management teams and tested investment approaches,” said Wu.
“However, I prefer the Penghua Industrial fund over the CMF fund, given it has a more experienced portfolio manager with more comprehensive skills and less workload, as well as cheaper fees,” she concluded.
