HEAD-TO-HEAD: Alquity versus T Rowe Price
FSA compares two Asia-Pacific (ex-Japan) equity products: the Alquity Asia Fund and the T Rowe Price Asian Opportunities Equity Fund.
Fees
The peer median ongoing charges (OCF) for Asia-Pacific (ex-Japan) equity funds sold in Hong Kong is 1.87%, according to data from FE Fundinfo.
The Alquity fund comes with a high OCF of 3%, while the T Rowe Price fund’s OCF is 1.77%, McDermott said. While the Alquity fund’s fees are high, he noted that every year, the Alquity business commits 10% of its revenues to the Alquity Transforming Lives Foundation, a UK registered charity.
