Exclusive: UBS appoints Hong Kong asset management head

Chris Yiu also serves as head of client coverage wealth management and wholesale in China and Hong Kong.

UBS has appointed Chris Yiu (pictured) as head of Hong Kong asset management on an interim basis.

Yiu, who serves as head of client coverage wealth management and wholesale in China and Hong Kong, is a replacement for Hayden Briscoe.

Yiu has spent over nine years at UBS, where he has overseen the wealth management and wholesale business, client service and marketing efforts in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.

Prior to joining UBS, he spent three years at Value Partners as associate director of the fund distribution team, where he was responsible for business development for their mutual fund business in Hong Kong.

Before moving to Value Partners, he worked at ING Investment Management as senior manager, where he was also responsible for fund distribution for wholesale clients. He previously worked at Allianz Global Investors.
