EFG Bank announces several senior hires in Hong Kong

The Zurich-headquartered private bank has tapped Citi Private Bank for the senior roles

Seamus Yin has been named as market group head – Hong Kong & China, ultra Clients, effective 20 September 2024. In addition, Miao Miao and Lianghan Chen are appointed as team heads and client relationship officers (CRO) respectively, both reporting directly to Yin.

Seamus Yin brings over a decade of experience to the role. He was previously managing director, global market manager of Mainland China Offshore – South and West, at Citi Private Bank in Hong Kong.

Prior to this, he worked at JP Morgan Private Bank in Hong Kong. He has a proven track record in managing large portfolios and leading high-performing teams, according to EFG. Yin is also part of the Regional Senior Management Team and a member of the Asian Business Committee.  

Miao and Chen, have wide of experience from their tenures at Citi Private Bank. Miao, who was previously a director and team head at Citi Private Bank.

In his new role, Chen will draw on his 20 years of industry experience as well as his experience in client relationship management. He was most recently a director and team head at Citi Private Bank. Prior to that, he held senior positions at JP Morgan Chase Private Bank in Hong Kong.

The team led by Yin will be further strengthened with the hiring of additional CROs Jack Wu, Ruby Chen and Savannah Sun who are also senior veterans in the industry.
