DWS appoints regional CIOs

A senior portfolio manager has been promoted to regional chief investment officer for Apac.

Björn Jesch, global CIO, DWS has introduced the positions of regional chief investment officers (CIOs) in Apac and Western Europe to strengthen DWS’s relationships with clients, according to a statement by the German asset manager.

Ivy Ng (main picture) has been appointed CIO for Apac and Vera Fehling has been promoted to CIO for Western Europe.

Ng (main picture) joined DWS in 2013 and is a senior portfolio manager covering Asia ex Japan property markets. She has a background as a financial journalist, investment magazine founder and an economic book author.

“She brings a different perspective to her role…and has delivered consistent investment outperformance and has been instrumental in building up AUM and expanding client base,” according to the statement.

Prior to joining DWS, she was with LaSalle Investment Management.

Fehling (pictured lefy) joined DWS in 2011 as a portfolio manager in the European Investment Grade Credit Team. In 2013, she transferred to multi asset & solutions as a portfolio manager for liability driven investments, where she soon took over significant blue chip client mandates, DWS said.

In 2021, Fehling took over as head of liability driven investments.
