Credit Suisse has promoted Jullie Kan to the position of vice chairman and strategic lead for Asia Pacific, effective 6 March.
“[Kan] has been instrumental in growing our southeast Asia franchise and developing the bank’s strategic young talent recruitment programmes over the years,” said Benjamin Cavalli, head of wealth management for Apac and Apac sustainability leader at Credit Suisse.
“As we prepare for our next phase of growth, we are excited for her to play a broader role in deepening our strategic client relationships and grooming our talent pool across Asia Pacific.”
Kan will continue to report to Cavalli in her expanded role.
She will provide senior client coverage of ultra-high-net-worth individuals and key clients across Apac, working closely with the market group heads, team leaders and senior bankers to build and strengthen these relationships, said the company.
Kan has over 40 years of experience in the wealth management industry and joined the Swiss bank in 1998 as market group head for Malaysia.
She also led the Singapore market business between 2006 and 2008 before appointed as deputy head of private banking for southeast Asia.
