Credit Suisse has named Edwin Tan, the incumbent market leader for wealth management in Thailand, as the new head of the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, according to an internal memo seen by FSA.

He will continue to be based in Thailand and take on additional responsibilities, starting 1 February.

Tan will report to Benjamin Cavalli, the head of wealth management for Asia Pacific at Credit Suisse.

He has over 20 years of experience in the finance industry covering the Thai market.

He joined Credit Suisse in 2002 and has overseen both the bank’s onshore and offshore businesses in Thailand since 2020.

The market leader for the Philippines, Sacha Eugster, will report to Tan after the organisational change.

In his expanded role, Tan will spend time in Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand and the Philippines.

The current market group head for the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, Marcus Sloor, will be relocating back to Europe for family reasons and pursuing a new opportunity within the bank after spending nine years in the Singapore office, according to the same statement.
