Schroders names HK distribution head

Ex-Aussie superfund CEO Chris Durack has assumed the newly-created role of head of distribution in Hong Kong.

Udo von Werne has been hired as CEO of Europe, the Middle East and Africa by Nikko Asset Management.

Celestine Khoo, the former head of external fund management at Singapore’s regulatory body, has been hired by Principal Global Investors.

The firm hired a hedge fund investment analyst to oversee teams in China, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Aberdeen Asset Management’s Roger Cornick will retire as chairman and non-executive director at the end of this financial year, 30 September 2016.

British bank Barclays has announced its investment banking arm is to close offices in nine countries across Asia, the Americas and EMEA.

Henry Ho will serve as non-executive chairman for Southeast Asia.

Ravi Menon will become chief executive officer of HSBC Global Asset Management’s India office.

The firm’s head of distribution has left for Aberdeen Asset Management and will be replaced by two internal appointments.
