Cappetta to leave Julius Baer Singapore

The bank’s managing director and senior advisor in Singapore has given his resignation.

John Cappetta, managing director and senior advisor, has resigned from the bank, according to sources with knowledge of the matter who spoke to FSA.

A spokeswoman from the bank in Singapore declined to comment.

Cappetta, who is well-known in the asset and wealth management community, has been instrumental in the bank’s fund selection process, managing a team of investment professionals in Singapore and Hong Kong.

Before Julius Baer, he was head of mutual fund sales in Singapore at Merrill Lynch, a firm he returned to after leaving in 2001. He had been with Merrill Lynch in various senior sales roles the US, Singapore and Australia from 1991-2001.
