Capital Group adds to Asia intermediary sales

The senior hire joins from Goldman Sachs Asset Management.

Capital Group has appointed Suyin Tan as managing director, financial intermediaries for Singapore and Southeast Asia.

Based in Singapore, Tan will lead the financial intermediary sales team in the region, drive its distribution strategy and strengthen existing client relationships, according to a statement by the US asset manager.

She reports to Jeik Sohn, Head of Client Group, Singapore and Southeast Asia.

Tan was most recently an executive director at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where she spent nine years. Previously, she was at Henderson Global Investors for 13 years, serving as a director based in Singapore, where she led its retail distribution strategy.

Capital Group, with global AUM of $2.7trn, has been in Asia Pacific three decades, and has six Asia Pacific offices in Hong Kong, Mumbai, Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo.
