Martin Loh has joined BNP Paribas Wealth Management as head of wealth management China market. Based in Hong Kong, he will be responsible for growing the China business.
Loh (pictured) is an industry veteran with over two decades of experience in client coverage. Prior to joining BNP Paribas, he was the market group head for Greater China & Taiwan markets at Credit Suisse Hong Kong.
Before that, Loh was market leader at Credit Suisse Singapore, where he was responsible for establishing the local Greater China market team. He has also previously held various roles at UBS, Citibank, Sumitomo Bank Corporate Finance, and DBS Corporate Banking.
Loh will report directly to Arnaud Tellier, CEO, Asia, Wealth Management, BNP Paribas and functionally to Lemuel Lee, head of wealth management Hong Kong, BNP Paribas.
Loh has already started work at the French wealth manager, and replaces Kevin King, who left at the end of last year.
“Given China’s significant potential for wealth management growth opportunities and one-bank solutions, we are fully committed to developing our teams of bankers and expanding our base of China clients,” said Tellier in a statement.
