BlackRock has appointed Tiffany Hsieh as head of Taiwan.

In this role, Hsieh is responsible for leading BlackRock’s business in Taiwan, ensuring clients have access to the firm’s wide range of investment capabilities. She will partner closely with clients to understand their needs and how BlackRock can help in building resilient portfolios to achieve their investment objectives, BlackRock said.

Hsieh was most recently responsible for BlackRock’s cross border and onshore distribution business in China. She started her tenure with the firm in 2009 as head of iShares for Taiwan. In addition, she played an integral role in the build out of BlackRock’s China business since 2012. Prior to BlackRock, Hsieh was responsible for sales and distribution of structured products and derivatives at Credit Agricole and product development at Fubon Securities in Taiwan.

“Appointing leaders who possess both global perspectives and local market expertise is critical to servicing our clients. With Tiffany’s leadership and client-centric mindset, I’m confident that our Taiwan business is well placed for the next leg of growth,” said Susan Chan, BlackRock’s deputy head of Asia Pacific and head of Greater China.

“BlackRock has a long-standing and successful presence in Taiwan across wealth, pension and ETF markets. I’m excited to continue to build on the strong foundation the firm has built in the past 18 years, leveraging the full spectrum of BlackRock’s global capabilities to help Taiwan investors achieve their investment goals,” said Hsieh.
