BEA names private banking regional head

The Bank of East Asia has appointed a new private banking head for Hong Kong and Singapore.

Jaye Chiu has been promoted to regional head of private banking at The Bank of East Asia (BEA), according to a post on his LinkedIn account today.

Chiu has worked BEA in Hong Kong for the past four years, previously as head of investment products and advisory.

Before joining BEA, he was regional head of investment management, private banking at BMO Private Banking from 2018 to 2020, after spending four years at EFG where he was senior managing director, head of investment.

Chiu started his career in the financial industry at BNP Paribas in 2011, where he was a senior portfolio manager, and regional head of profiled & fund discretionary mandates, Asia.
