Barclays strengthens India private bank

Hussain Selani has joined Barclays' private bank as head of investments India and global Indians.

Barclays has strengthened its private banking division with Hussain Selani (pictured) joining as head of investments India and global Indians.

Based in Mumbai, he will report to Jean-Damien Marie, global head of investments for  the private bank and wealth management, and to Nitin Singh, head of the private bank in Asia Pacific.

Selani joins from CorpCare Ventures, a corporate treasury and family office advisory outfit, where he was CEO. He has previously worked at Citibank, UBS and most recently Aditya Birla Finance, a non-banking financial services company.

In his new role, Selani will be responsible for the management and distribution of all investment products and services across the private bank and wealth management division in India and for global Indians.
