The asset manager also appoints its head of sales for North Asia.

Allspring Global Investments announced on Monday that it has opened its newly-licensed office in Hong Kong and named Linda Luk as the head of sales for north Asia.

“We’re thrilled to welcome [Luk] to lead our newly-licensed Hong Kong office,”

“She has deep experience and proven expertise across the distribution landscape and will bring these to bear for the good of our clients in the northern Asia region,” said Andy Sowerby, head of the international client group at Allspring.

Luk has almost 30 years of experience leading distribution and marketing activities across the region.

She will be responsible for executing the company’s sales strategy and servicing clients in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan.

Prior to joining Allspring, she has worked as the managing director and chief distribution officer at Income Partners Asset Management and the managing director and head of Hong Kong distribution at Vanguard Investments Hong Kong.

Formerly Wells Fargo Asset Management, the American asset manager has around $463bn in assets under management as of September last year. It has more than 20 offices around the world.
