RBC Wealth Management (RBC WM) has made several senior hires in Asia to support the firm’s client and investment strategies in the region.
Eric Kang joined RBC WM in Singapore on 2 January as senior advisor, South East Asia, working closely with Cynthia Jacinto, market head, South East Asia.
Kang joined RBC WM from Credit Suisse, where he was vice-chairman, private banking, South East Asia. Earlier in his career, he had spells at UBS, Morgan Stanley and other international banks in Singapore, London, and Tokyo. He has also worked in Hong Kong.
Bernard Chua joined RBC WM, also in Singapore, on 4 January as senior investment counsellor, reporting to Gautam Chadda, head of investment & portfolio advisory, Singapore.
Chua joined RBC WM from Credit Suisse where he was an investment consultant focused on Greater China markets. Prior to Credit Suisse, he was also worked in the investment advisory business at Citibank, UOB and DBS.
Terrence Yeung joined RBC WM in Hong Kong on 3 January as director, fixed income specialist, reporting to Calvin Ng, head of fixed income advisory, Hong Kong.
Yeung previously worked at Credit Suisse Private Bank where he was vice president, emerging markets fixed income research. Before joining Credit Suisse in 2016, he worked for Standard Chartered, BNP Paribas, HSBC and Credit Agricole.
