Amundi makes senior Asia appointments

The French asset manager promotes two staff members.

Florian Neto has been promoted to head of investment for Hong Kong and Taiwan and head of multi-asset for Asia, according to a company announcement.

Based in Hong Kong, Neto will supervise Amundi’s investment teams in both jurisdictions and is directly responsible for the multi-asset platform in Asia.

He is also the lead or co-lead portfolio manager for a range of open-ended funds and institutional multi-asset portfolios for Asian clients.

Neto started his career in 2010 at Amundi in Paris and joined Amundi’s multi-asset investment team in 2015.

In a separate announcement, Amundi has appointed David Poh as head of investment and ESG strategies in South Asia, effective immediately.

Poh has been the head of research at Amundi BOC (Bank of China) Wealth Management since 2020, its Shanghai-based asset management joint-venture.

The joint venture was approved by the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission as the first joint venture company that has a foreign shareholder as a majority owner.

He joined Amundi in February 2018 as the head of equities and was subsequently appointed head of investments for Singapore in November 2019.

He has also worked for AZ Investment Management, Credit Suisse, Societe Generale and Bank of Singapore.
