Other multiple award winners included First State, which won in three categories, and Janus and Schroders with two awards each.
FSA’s awards were based on quantitative data from FE, which uses its Crown Rating methodology that rates funds using three separate tests: alpha, volatility and consistency. FE filtered out the best performers in 15 asset classes and created a shortlist.
The shortlist was then given to an independent panel of professionals from Asia’s fund selector community, who picked funds they thought would outperform in the next 12 months. Their aggregated choices determined the Platinum and Gold winners.
The Hong Kong shortlist is here.
